If PlugAir and/or the PlugAir app aren’t working properly, please refer to the below instructions for potential solutions.

iOS and Android versions:
Check you have the most recent OS version. If it isn’t the most recent, follow each of the OS instructions to update.
The device used:
Check to see if the device being used supports PlugAir or not.
The list of PlugAir compatible devices is here.
Internet connection:
You need to be connected to a secure internet network to use PlugAir.Make sure the device you’re using is connected to the Internet.
1. Get the most recent version of the app:
Please update the latest version of the PlugAir app.
If you don’t know where to find the newest version or how to update the app, delete the version of PlugAir you do have and click on the following link to download the newest.
2. Maximize earphone volume:
Change your sound settings so that when you plug in the jack the volume increases to maximum.
3. Turn off all other apps:
If apps other than PlugAir are running then turn them all off.
4. Turn off volume limit:
If the device you are using has a set volume limit then follow the below instructions.

* For iPhone only
Home > Settings > Set music volume limit to off.
5. Switch off sound effects:
If the device you are using has set sound effects then follow the below instructions.

For iPhone
Home > Settings > Set music equalizer to off.
For Android
Home > Settings > Set all sound effects in sound to off.
If you have personal sound effects on your device, also set those to off.
6. Allow microphone access:
Change your settings to allow PlugAir to use the microphone.

*For iPhone only
Home > Settings > Privacy > Set PlugAir microphone access to on.
7. Is PlugAir firmly plugged in?
Did PlugAir make a clicking sound when you plugged it in? Check to see if your phone cover or any accessories may be preventing a good connection.
8. Test the device’s microphone on other apps:
Make sure the microphone is working normally on other apps. If the microphone isn’t working on apps other than PlugAir it’s possible that the device’s microphone may be broken.
9. Turn off Mono Audio settings.
Change your settings to allow PlugAir to use the microphone.

*For iPhone only
Select Settings > General > Accessibility and check the HEARING column.
If the “Mono Audio” is turned on, please turn it OFF.
10. Check Audio Volume Balance settings.
Change your settings to allow PlugAir to use the microphone.

*For iPhone only
Select Settings > General > Accessibility and check the HEARING column.
If the audio volume balance is not in the center, please move the slider to the center.
